| The Wizard´s Guild is a parent organization for all the smaller groups of magicusers all over the country. I thelps them in finding masters, apprentices, new spells, old scrolls, new friend, old enemies, new perceptions and oldest artefacts. A magicuser in Septmoncel is always willing to help, if he gets the chance of finding some of the above! But beware, some of them are villains! (or even worse!) |
| The legion of Loanborrough are mercenaries, who sell their souls to the mostbidding. But their souls are so greedy, they won´t fight you, if you can double the price! But don´t underestimate them, if they don´t get, what they demand, they show no mercy. If you really need their service, best send them to a foreign country and let them keep the plunder (see that it´s a rich territory.) |
| The league of the free knights is a wild conglomerate of scruffy figures and splendid nobility. From all classes of knighthood, this league offers it´s service to a cause or a purse, just what suits it best at the moment. Since most of the so called knights are pennyless paupers, who haven´got a shilling to spare, it´s mostly the purse they choose (some work for you even for a warm meal, I´ve heard!) |
| The Cossacks of the eastern plains are clans of vagabonding riders, who can be easily hired by anyone. They work for money, food, land and slaves. While the men a marauding the land, the women, go hunting and breed the horses, while the slaves work the soil for crops.The cossacks are good archers and their favourite weapon is the Scimitar. |
| The Rangers can be found all over the wooded countryside. They are hunters for the local gentry and in wartime they serve them as archers. Some of them serve the adventurers as guides through the wilderness and teach them how to survive and to read trails. They are skilled archers and use the longbow most of the times. |
| The brethren of Flake is a group of Northman clans, who live north of Septmoncel. Naturally a tradepartner, they sometimes come and pillage the rural areas after hard winters (but only if the Regent wasn´t wise enough to bribe them with crops and livestock!). They are fierce warriors, skilled riders and even better sailors. Their longboats are known all over the continent and bring home loads of plunder (if they return, of course!) |
| The townguard of Septmoncels only purpose is to protect the town´s boundaries and keep the inner city safe and sound! It´s not an intervention army, but a defensive force. It consists of crossbowmen, pikers, swordfighters and a few knights, mostly members of the lower houses of the town, who have no seat in the council. |
